President Trump has called anti-racism protestors 'vandals' and 'anarchists' and has promised to reinforce the law to protect statues and monuments.
It came as the funeral took place of Rayshard Brooks, an African-American shot as he ran away from police in Atlanta two weeks ago.
His killing, following that of another black American, George Floyd, has led to weeks of protests
